MARCH ART MADNESS 2025 IS HERE!

It’s that time again!

After a sabbatical of a FEW YEARS, Saturday AM’s famed GLOBAL ART TOURNAMENT IS BACK!!

And what a special event!!

Author Zayf Umar who debuted in 2018’s MAM contest before moving on to our short story event #summerofmanga 2019 eventually launched his own MANGA, ORISHA VOL 1, in stores worldwide this past Feb 2025.

Yes, this event has an incredible LEGACY!

And this time, it’s A BRAND NEW FORMAT!!

the rules

I. REGISTER FOR THE EVENT

A. You must be over the age of 16.

B. You must have an INSTAGRAM account that is Public.

C. You must register with actual contact information so that you can be verified.

II. CHECK THE THEMES EVERY FRIDAY and CHOOSE UP TO THREE THAT YOU MAY SUBMIT

III. POST YOUR FANART BASED ON THE THEMES (CAN BE PREVIOUSLY PRODUCED, DOES NOT NEED TO BE ORIGINAL FOR THIS TOURNAMENT).

IV. POSTS MUST BE:

A. On Instagram only

B. Use hashtag #MAM2025 OR #MARCHARTMADNESS2025

C. And tag us @SATURDAY_AM

V. GET POINTS TO ADD UP BY THE WEEK’S END

VI. THE THREE ARTISTS WITH THE MOST POINTS AFTER THREE WEEKS FACE OFF IN A FINAL ART SHOWDOWN.

EACH ENTRY IS 25 POINTS
AN ORIGINAL ART PIECE FOR YOUR ENTRY IS 50 POINTS
IF AN ART THEME EACH WEEK IS UNCOVERED AS A BOSS BATTLE – YOUR WORK WILL BE GIVEN 100 POINTS
EVERY LIKE IS A POINT!

EVERY WEEK – ALL ENTRIES, ALL POINTS ARE ADDED UP.

THE EASIEST EVER PROCESS TO GAIN POINTS!

BOSS BATTLES:

INSTEAD OF MANO-A-MANO CONTESTS – we’re introducing BOSS BATTLES!

Once a week, one of THEMES will have a TOP SATURDAY AM ARTISTS participating. (Thus their entry will ALSO be able to get points and only the best entry with the most votes will have a chance to maximize their scores.)

ART:

For the 1st time, Saturday AM’s MARCH ART MADNESS does NOT require original art made just for the event.

Instead, existing art MADE by the artist who is registered can be posted anew for the event — provided that the proper hashtag and tags are made.

That said, an ORIGINAL piece that was made JUST for the event will gain extra points.

NOTE: The FINAL week WILL be an original art piece by the registered participant who has made it to the final round.
