Since 2016, Saturday AM’s SUMMER OF MANGA initiative has served as the most transparent submission programs in Publishing and the only consistent way to pitch one’s talents to the staff of Saturday AM.
Some of the past creators who’ve participated and had well-reviewed manga on the shelves worldwide include:

This year’s SUMMER OF MANGA initiative is SPECIAL as it ties into our highly anticipated CROSSOVER EVENT, Saturday WARS! Our biggest diverse manga heroes and series ala CLOCK STRIKER, APPLE BLACK, MMWOG, HAMMER, SOUL BEAT and BULLY EATER.
If selected, you will have an interview with our EDITORS, ARTISTS, and STAFF.
If we feel that the story potential and your talent are strong, we’ll commission a short story (set page limit) that will debut this summer in a Saturday AM publication.
And the best reviewed short story will be selected for a PRIZE and PUBLICATION opportunity. So, what are you waiting for???
The Summer of Manga is off to an exciting start, with submissions pouring in from across the globe! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve received numerous entries, including submissions from countries such as Brazil, Canada, Rwanda, and Spain, just to name a few. The latest issues of SOM, which was published last year, featured 6 artists from around the world, all of whom impressed the team with their storytelling and hard work. The one-shots debuted in ISSUE 166! They were all a great success; thanks to the many submissions from talented individuals.
