We have with us today the amazing creator of the sci-fi adventure Midnight Hands. We’re ready to learn more about this interesting world and its characters. Let’s jump right into the interview with Daimondrewthis!
How’d you get into manga/comic making and storytelling?
How’d you get into manga/comic making and storytelling?“When I was a kid my mom introduced me to anime like princess Mononoke, ghost in the shell and shadow skill, later I discovered manga and comics at the library and I read everything. If I’m being honest comics always kinda called to me or I just knew it was something I’d love before I I started reading them when I was 13.”
What advice would you give aspiring artists who want to create a manga one-shot or enter events like Summer of Manga? What should they be prepared for in terms of challenges and opportunities?
” Learn about the different plot structures, finding one you like will help you refine any idea you have into a story with a beginning middle and end.”
What do you want people to take away from your story?
“I honestly want to them to enjoy the characters and be curious about where they could go…but I’m more curious what they get from it without my input.”
The world-building in your one-shot was truly impressive. If you had more time and pages, how would you have expanded on the setting and explored the different aspects of this sci-fi world?
“Oh we’d meet the rest of the crew and they’d go to different planets around the galaxy. I’d really want to put them in situations that test their relationship as it develops.”
