Did you hear the news? The annual “Draw Your Own Little Manga” Doujinshi Competition at DoKomi just wrapped up—and we’re thrilled to announce that Kristina Andabak, the creator of Grimmheim, took first place!

What’s the DoKomi Doujinshi Competition?
What’s the DoKomi Doujinshi Competition?DoKomi is Germany’s largest manga convention, drawing over 200,000 visitors this year alone. Every year, the event holds its signature Doujinshi Contest, inviting artists to create a 4-page manga on a specific theme.
This year’s theme? Okinawa.
Artists were tasked with interpreting the theme creatively—whether through short stories involving their experience at DoKomi, or featuring DoKomi’s official mascots. The winners were announced and celebrated on the convention’s Black Stage, with their works exhibited for thousands to see.
And yes—Kristina’s winning entry was front and center!
