A few weeks ago our Hero Jeyodin, the creator behind the fan favorite Hammer, had the honor of chatting with some youngsters over at Taft H.S. Library. He taught them a thing or two about the comic book industry, and the manga making process. This is what it’s all about! Helping to shape the future creatives of this and the next generation. Saturday AM’s commitment to diversity means working with young creators to offer support, experience, & positivity!
Jey had this to say about his experience:
“It was really fun! Got to talk to a class of seniors, I believe. They were all very interested in what I was saying and it seemed to be very helpful for them.”
The staff and members of the comic book club were very grateful to Jey for taking the time to talk with them – sharing their appreciation on Twitter:
Thank you manga creator @JeyOdin for meeting with our Comics Club and sharing your expertise, tips, and advice with us! The students loved your energy and passion and everything you had to say.@Saturday_am @NISDTaft @NISDLib pic.twitter.com/b0IRGR3oSU

Moments like these are amazing for inspiring aspiring creators as they start their journey to bring their own ideas to life. We all know how easy it is to get discouraged or overwhelmed when seeing how difficult the whole process seems at first glance. However, getting to sit down with someone who actually does what you want to do is invaluable! Huge shout out to Jey for sharing his experience!
